Has anyone seen #UntilTheEndOfTheWorld? A 5 hour epic, described by some as the ultimate road movie, with unique music from an amazing array of talent (#U2, #NickCave, #Can, #LouReed, #REM, #PattiSmith, #DepecheMode etc)
It's (of course) not available for streaming or digital rental from anywhere in Finland, but there may be 'other sources'. But also I wonder if it works as a #ValentinesDay film (I've never seen it)?
The significant other remains a little skeptical :)
So, the 5 hour director's cut of Until the End of the World. Did it really need that length before being edited for the (3 hour) original release back in the day?
Perhaps not, but really, 5 hours spent in a shared, cinematic dream by Wim Wenders is no bad way to spend an evening as the day clicked over into morning, the ending of a year beckoned, and my own personal birthday clock ticked another rotation around our glowing star.
This evening's viewing distraction: another present to myself, the Curzon 4k director's cut of Until the End of the World by the brilliant Wim Wenders.
The original (which I saw in the Edinburgh Filmhouse) back in the early 90s was long, this version is *staggeringly* long!
