Pickup up after #Roadburn it is already late in #TuneTuesday and theme for today is; #WindMusic. Music about a breeze, winds, gusts and storms. So here is my pick:

Swiss based Aara make #AtmosphericBlackMetal from the highest category, especially with this record that is based around a single mountain: Eiger, in the Swiss Alps.

The opener to the album features literal storm sounds, vocals that sound like the winds that hound the peaks of the Alps and in a more poetic sense, is catching the wild weather.

If you are into heavy music of any kind, I can recommend #Roadburn. The festival makes a stand against fascism and for inclusion. Never seen so many queer people in a metal crowd. I shook hands with a trans artist. I feel at home.

Vyva Melinkolya played solo with their electronic and guitar set, delivering us dark dreampop that made us sway with bliss. I had the honor to shake hands with her. While my friend did the talking, my eyes met with heirs. We recognized each other like only us trans people can do, I guess. #roadburn #roadburn2025

Uniform attacked us with their modern, non-occult black metal. At some point of their "American Standard" album performance, the vocalist put away his microphone and shouted at the intimidated audience unamplified but loud, before returning to pounding us with two drummers playing in violent synchronicity. This was cold, harsh and unapproachable. Impressive. #roadburn2025 #roadburn

Toby Driver is a mastermind for experimental prog and folk sounds. Known for the bands Kayo Dot and Maudlin of the Well, he made people curious about what comes next. He said: while he is known for his dreamy approach to music, we should recognize that dreams are important. All the systems that surround us, good or bad, are the product of someone's dreams. In the real world, our dreams collide with each other and we should fight for our good dreams. Will do. #roadburn2025 #roadburn

Thou played their Umbilical album at full length. Their underground doomy hardcore punk on the big stage worked really well. Accompanied by some spoken meditation instructions, it added some emotional meaning to the hard-to-hear vocals. We are all suffering and I'm thankful. #roadburn2025 #roadburn

The Bug built a fortress of amp stacks and prepared a dish of abstracted dancehall that hits you on all frequencies. This gig reminded me of the best of Maschinenfest, an industrial festival that sadly ceased to exist. Thanks for making the room bigger! #roadburn #roadburn2025

The Body really is a power duo. During the first song, the drummer played so hard that he broke a stick, lost a cymbal and had to get his high-hat machine replaced. The guitarist amassed sonic walls which he painted with his shrieking vocals. Ritualistic and nihilistic bliss. #roadburn2025 #roadburn

Midwife has been "artist in residence". I was able to see all of her three appearances at the festival. Her shoegaze guitar sound comes with vocals actually delivered through a telephone handset. I would call it ambient grunge and it immediately hits everyone in the audience. You could hear people sobbing all around. "I cried at a Midwife show" is written on a shirt and really weeped quite a bit. #roadburn2025 #roadburn
