Watched #IsleOfDogs
You know, I wasn't feeling it at first, but after a bumpy beginning, this becomes a really sweet and adventurous tale of finding yourself and acceptance. #BryanCranston had an amazing arc and some sections subvert your expectations through dark humour. Another #WesAnderson animated success. #movies
This morning’s run was ever so slightly faster. Always nicer running in the sunshine
Enjoyed a really lovely 5km walk around the #IsleOfDogs and caught up on some podcasts.
This evening is about TV and a chicken salad A busy few days ahead so I’m taking it very easy all weekend
Another image taken from the top of Canary Wharf tower in 1998.
The City of London looked very different then. Much less phallic.
From 1992 - 1999 I lived on the Isle of Dogs, London. To that point, the Isle of Dogs had been one of the more deprived areas of London.
Canary Wharf tower (1 Canada Square) had just been finished. The whole area was being transformed without concern for those who had lived there for generations.
This is the view looking north from the 52nd floor of The Tower in 1998, towards Poplar and Bow.
The most metaphorical image I've ever taken.
