While I recognise that (unlike many) #DeniseCoates plays a pretty straight bat on her #tax affairs & as such is one of the UK's biggest taxpayers, as you can see from this record of her salary & dividend payments from #Bet365, its safe to say that if you didn't know it already, the house always wins....

[And for those of you who think gambling is a major problem for this country, as I do, then her tax affairs offer scant defence of her business practices]

Chart: Denise Coates has earned billions in pay & dividends over the past few years - estimated pay, salary/dividends shows combined salary/dividends peaked at over £450m in 2020 (after climbing from less than £100m in 2015), and had now fall back to just over £200m per year for the last three years

While #women continue to be under-represented in the 'higher reaches' of #business, an increasing number are starting their own businesses: more than twice as many as in 2018, with over 150,000 set up in 2022.

Without wanting to become essentialist about this, will an increase in #female #entrepreneurs see a slow (organic) shift in how #capitalism is conducted in the UK?
