I think I'm going to have to give up my website mrfunkedude.com in November when it's time to renew for another two years.

The service I use is great, and I love having a place to show off my videos and articles and everything that I love to do.

However I know that I won't have the money.

Such is life.

Time will tell. Maybe I'll get lucky and win the lottery. Ha!

I'll host you, and for donation rather than a set price. I have my own VPS, My hosting software can support wordpress. Got a discord we can chat over to see if we fit?

@DavBot Thank you for the offer. I'm not in need yet, it wont be over until November. I'll keep you in mind when the time comes. I'd rather not depend on someone else's server if I can, but as I told someone else, beggars can't be choosers.

I won't know for sure until I get closer to the date.

I do want to thank you for offering to help. That's very kind of you.

@Mrfunkedude
There is always grabbing your own bare metal VPS and setting up too. I went with OVH hosting. a VPS fit for a single wordpress and email would be about 20-ish CAD a month.

The way I did it software license-free is to ditch Cpanel/WHM and use ubuntu/docker/caprover. then install the mail server and wordpress.

It's best to start acting on a migration plan a couple months before the old services end date, nothing worse than encountering a delay or problem at 5 minutes to midnight :P

@Mrfunkedude Or, if you have a stable IP from your ISP and really good upload and download connection you can host your own on a Pi or Pine hardware. takes some router fuckery so you need to be able to port-forward.

The only downside is when your net is down you are down, email and all. ISP changes your IP you need to update your DNS.
