HarriettMB<p>You know what would make life better for everyone? If the British left Northern Ireland and returned it to be part of an independent whole country, all of which is in the EU. Then Hilary wouldn’t have to try and boss Ireland or the EU over tariffs. What would work well also would be the UK aligning themselves with the EU, rather than cowering in acquiescence before the toxic bullying of the USA.<br><a href="https://beige.party/tags/Tariffs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tariffs</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/USPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USPol</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/UKPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UKPol</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/RejoinEU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RejoinEU</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Brexit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Brexit</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/IrlPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IrlPol</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Think32" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Think32</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/UI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UI</span></a> <a href="https://www.eppingforestguardian.co.uk/news/national/25057871.hilary-benn-warns-issue-ni-eu-imposes-tariffs-us-trade-dispute/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">eppingforestguardian.co.uk/new</span><span class="invisible">s/national/25057871.hilary-benn-warns-issue-ni-eu-imposes-tariffs-us-trade-dispute/</span></a></p>
HarriettMB<p>I wonder how much Jamie Bryson costs the UK taxpayer every year? He’s hardly ever out of the courts, as he takes legal action after legal action over very important life changing subjects such as dual language signage in the new Belfast Central Transport hub, or a new pre-school or playgroup in Irish, or a GAA pitch were everyone can play camogie, hurling etc. He’s not a lawyer, a barrister, a KC, or a solicitor. He’s not called to the bar, and has no legal qualifications, but he sure know how to take up an immense amount of court time.<br>Even the <a href="https://beige.party/tags/UUP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UUP</span></a> and <a href="https://beige.party/tags/DUP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DUP</span></a> avoided this one, simply stating they would raise it in Stormont.<br>On his Xitter timeline he uses inflammatory rhetoric like ‘divisive, agressive demands, imposition’ and claims the use of Irish is some kind of attack on Unionism. It seems to have escaped their attention that they live in IRELAND, and this is our national language; it’s legal, it’s used in Courts, in Stormont; has been used by our MPs in House of Commons, and by various members of the royal family on State visits to Ireland - north and south.<br>No one is holding their heads in a fixed position or forcing them to read anything in Irish. All the signage will also be available in English, for those who cannot tell the difference between Beal Feriste and Belfast. <br>🚮 aka Jamie Bryson is trying to lodge legal objection against Irish Language signage with the courts. <br>We have so many problems, not least the reduction in PIPs and other benefits, the negative effects of the new ETA, the problems being caused by the American administration worldwide; and this kind of bigotry is what gets them up in the morning.
