AliveDevil<p>Thinking about using Linux Mint Cinnamon … maybe?<br>Or if that doesn't fit, installing KDE Plasma over it.</p><p>Wayland would be really nice though …</p><p><a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/LinuxMint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LinuxMint</span></a> <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a> <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Apple</span></a> <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/T2Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>T2Linux</span></a></p>
AliveDevil<p>Anyone here did a DFU firmware downgrade from iBridge2,3 firmware 9.2 to 4.6 for <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/T2Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>T2Linux</span></a>? I want to have stable suspend on <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a> <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, which somehow managed to be broken since <a href="https://tauri.earth/tags/macOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macOS</span></a> 14 in 2023.</p>
nilesh<p>About <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Apple</span></a>'s M4-based <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/macmini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macmini</span></a> launch:</p><p>Mac mini was ruined for me once its RAM became non-upgradeable after M1. 🤬 </p><p>I'm still running the last intel-based mini (2018) with DIY-upgraded RAM &amp; <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/t2linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>t2linux</span></a>. I am not interested in these new ones from Apple as we have many equally powerful &amp; portable mini PC choices (Asus NUC, Thinkcentre etc).</p>
RenézuCode<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mas.to/@mroach" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>mroach</span></a></span> I ported the Linux kernel off (<a href="https://chaos.social/tags/openfirmware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>openfirmware</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/framebuffer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>framebuffer</span></a>) driver form PowerPC to work on SPARC, too. Aerasto<p>FINALLY. I got the TouchBar working on my <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/MacBookPro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MacBookPro</span></a> under <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/NixOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NixOS</span></a>. It hasn’t been working for months because I couldn’t figure out how to get the userspace daemon working. The <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/t2linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>t2linux</span></a> community is great for helping and maintaining all this stuff.</p><p>Now I gotta put it into a .nix file and wrap it with a nice bow</p>
