Because mastodon is not a business, i wonder how it will survive in the long run. The cost to run a public #instance is quite high and there is a high responsibility on the #mastodonadmins . If the system is not running on privately owned or rented servers, but on a network of decentralized computers, then there is no legally responsible entity and you as a user are responsible for owning a share of it and participating in keeping it running by paying for each transaction. I think this will be true decentralization where the costs and responsibility are shared between all users.
