This #ThrowbackThursday going back to a model I've let sit for months because I was afraid I'd "ruin" it as I painted over the underpainting.
Pleased with the color blocking so far. Turned out better than I anticipated.

#ThrowbackThursday is here and I got a cringy one to share today!
A deep dive into my first images after moving to #Vancouver found this shot. I like to think I was a trend setter, I'd bought the glass orb if my own fruition from a garden store well before the #Lensball craze happened. It was sat next a garden gnome and meant for a pond decoration.
While a bit cliche now, I remember having a lot of fun shooting these images and playing with the orb.
It's a #ThrowbackThursday post as I delve through my archives and found this little gem.
Convention wisdom would say that a #Leica M-P (Typ 240) isn't the right camera to use to shoot the #aurora, but who cares about convention wisdom when it can do the job?
Shot with Leica M-P (Typ 240) with the #Laowa 15 mm f/2.
Also, screw #Adobe! Revisited this with #Darktable!
Zeta's one of those projects that I really think many retro fans will enjoy. It blends synthwave, 80s rock, and atmospheric tendencies to create this sort of ethereal-cyberpunk-meets-80s-nostalgia vibe to it.
#throwbackthursday taken this time last year. Ship on globe in George(aka Freedom) Square Glasgow. I heard a guide telling tourists it turns with the tide - no convinced, I think it was a wind up can anyone tell me different?
Arise (April 2024)
Morning sunlight illuminates the beautiful branches and buds of these cottonwood trees.
Picture of a credit card skimmer and website where you could purportedly get them ~2007. I couldn't find an archive of the site. I'm not sure if the site really sold them or not, but I remember seeing a few different pics advertising for it back then. This is just one of them I had lying around in a personal archive.

A #throwbackthursday post from 2017. The idea was to make a pair of photographs to sell the illusion of the X-wing better. As if I'd just walked in there and took some snapshots from different angles.
Angel, my skinny (mostly hairless) guinea pig, 21 years ago.
He may look angelic but he annoyed the hell out of my other three guinea pigs. Rescued from a dump of lab-bred animals used for dermatological testing, Angel was unsocialized and mostly unsocializable. His rubbery skin felt like a ball sack... and he didn't like to be touched and held unless he was wrapped in a towel.
We only had Angel about a year. During that time, he made a lot of trips to the vet. Unfortunately, Angel had the first documented case of melanoma in guinea pig history, something that killed him in 2005. Poor thing. We did our best to make the little guy comfortable.
