#ThrowbackThursday is here and I got a cringy one to share today!

A deep dive into my first images after moving to #Vancouver found this shot. I like to think I was a trend setter, I'd bought the glass orb if my own fruition from a garden store well before the #Lensball craze happened. It was sat next a garden gnome and meant for a pond decoration.

While a bit cliche now, I remember having a lot of fun shooting these images and playing with the orb.

Picture of a credit card skimmer and website where you could purportedly get them ~2007. I couldn't find an archive of the site. I'm not sure if the site really sold them or not, but I remember seeing a few different pics advertising for it back then. This is just one of them I had lying around in a personal archive.

Angel, my skinny (mostly hairless) guinea pig, 21 years ago.

He may look angelic but he annoyed the hell out of my other three guinea pigs. Rescued from a dump of lab-bred animals used for dermatological testing, Angel was unsocialized and mostly unsocializable. His rubbery skin felt like a ball sack... and he didn't like to be touched and held unless he was wrapped in a towel.

We only had Angel about a year. During that time, he made a lot of trips to the vet. Unfortunately, Angel had the first documented case of melanoma in guinea pig history, something that killed him in 2005. Poor thing. We did our best to make the little guy comfortable.
