Having stayed in our newest #Eureka! El Capitan 4 (now called 4+ Outfitter) for two weeks I wish I had my old El Cap back.
They took a #tent that was quite good in all 4 seasons and made it a better Fair Weather tent — making it worse in less than ideal weather.
If you're thinking about going out to get the newly revamped model before they discontinue Eureka! Tents, read this first:
Who wants to go camping with kids?
Aren't these neat? #Camping
I don't tent. I've owned nice tents, but I am not interested in sleeping outside, until all the money is gone.

But if I did feel like #tenting, these #Dinosaur tents are the ones I want.
Reposting my #Introduction post to my new handle:
I'm Scott, I live in #PortMoody, #BritishColumbia, #Canada and work in #Telecom & IT.
I go #Hiking every weekend and #Camping most weekends (yes, #Tenting, yes even #WinterCamping). In the #Winter you'll find me #NordicSkiing ( #CrossCountrySkiing ) and #Snowshoeing.
I also volunteer with #SAR (#SearchAndRescue), #Adventuresmart, and #EmergencyManagement organizations as a #Preparedness instructor.
Now we’re back in the Land of Reliable Wifi, have a few of my favourite photos from our camping trip. There was rain, and lots of it, but fortunately only at night. Our site was quiet and secluded and close to the midnight coyote gatherings.
Traditional Easter hike, five wonderful days in Bergslagen, Sweden. Still a bit of snow and ice here and there but clearly, spring is around the corner. Cold mornings fought with campfires.
Getting used to my #Glove80, a #split #ErgonomicKeyboard. Really enjoying my #CustomLayout so far, especially having Shift, Ctrl, Alt & Win on *both* thumbs, unlike #KinesisAdvantage.
Next step to increase comfort is trying #tenting: raise the middle part so that my forearm bones are less twisted and more towards a natural handshake position. Starting with ~ 16 mm (pictured left), but this #keyboard could go way higher!

I lived in HCMC, Vịêt Nam for 2 different 3-year stints so I planned travel every time that I had a week or more off work. I generally planned (and booked flights!) a few months in advance. Generally, I'd stay at least 3 places on a 1-week trip, and I carried at least 1 big backpack, 2 for winter in Japan. I love to travel and see as many places as possible. It's absolutely not feasible if I have to pay hotel rates. In North America, #tenting is my superpower.
Probably should have posted my #Introduction earlier but here we go:
