On June 28th, my husband and I headed to the Sunrise portion of Mt. Rainier to hike. When we arrived, thick clouds obscured our views... But we still set out on our hike along Sourdough Ridge Trail. Not even 20 minutes in, the clouds began to lift and we could see the mountain. Originally, we were only going as high as First Burroughs Mountain, but we decided to go up to Second Burroughs before loping back.

I just got back from spending four days at Mt. Rainier National Park. One of the hikes I did there was the popular Skyline Trail out of Paradise. Thankfully, it was a very clear day and the nearby wildfires weren't causing too much smoke in the park. The wildflowers were beautiful and there was still snow covering portions of the trail.
