I designed this take on the old card model a few years back. The idea of how to redesign it got stuck in my head and in less than three days I had modelled and painted it.
That is working at light speed for me.

Marlockt Beastface. Nice to get a classic model done as the first of the army.
Yes, there's lots that could be improved but with another 70-80 models to do for this project I don't want perfect, I want finished.
Yes, my freehand shield design is WOBBLY but surely that's part of the charm. I hope to get better at these with practice :)
I've really been enjoying this dramatisation of Josh at the Crown of Command's Heroquest games.
Josh's beautiful miniatures and Owen's evocative narration are a wonderful combinations.
Strongly recommend giving a it a quick watch.

I am absolutely chuffed to bits to have got my hands on one of these again, I had one back in the 90's and it's one of those models I really regret having let go of.
I am not however looking forward to pinning all the wee snots in place.
Like so many other things in life, I haven't been finding the time to do enough drawing of late. So I drew a space marine.
So it begins. First army project in a few years. Test models to start, and basing first.
While there'll be some unit fillers in plastic, it's predominantly old metal. Fun to see the scale difference between old and new!

Been doing some test printing, these will be my first less than 28mm scale bits of scenery.
Of course if you have a strong desire and a big enough printer you could print them a 28mm.
