Magic CauldronMy work for the next days: Sewing these flowers and butterflies (there ist batting underneath each, glued with textile glue) with ladder stitch all around the edges on the bought pillow case (80 x 80 cm). After this it is quilting time. 🧵 (Not everything is my colour palette/pattern, but it's especially requested by my kid. KatiWhat is now a tablecloth started out as a costume idea. For "Karneval" last year, I made more than 250 "African flower" hexagons into a 70s style Poncho as an homage to the famous "Prilblume". When I grew up, the dish soap company Pril used to have these flower stickers on their packaging. A core memory of my childhood. Y⃒̸̷̝̜̙ͥͥͥngmarHexagonal container done.Not sanded or finished, but it was just a prototype. It's strong but flexes a little when squished. Need to use thicker wall pieces next time. Y⃒̸̷̝̜̙ͥͥͥngmarPut the missing corner back on. Uncutting corners!Then glued the hexagonal bin together. No clamping, I just lashed a rope around it tightly, which provides nice even force from all sides.Then it was time to start packing up the workshop. It'll be a while and much work before I have another one, I think.
