Commonplace but a delight to see. Hazel catkins announcing life bursting back into activity.
Hazel blossoms and catkins. This is one that is the farthest behind. The other trees/bushes catkins are elongated and yellow now but not dropping any pollen.
#Hazel catkins
Hazel trees are often found in British woodlands below taller trees such as oak and ash; they can also be seen in scrubland and hedgerows. The long, yellow catkins that appear in spring before the hazel leaves unfurl are male flowers that are covered in pollen. Every hazel produces male catkins and tiny red female flowers, but they cannot pollinate themselves – they rely on the wind to carry the tiny grains to other hazel trees.

Should see some pollen from the hazel trees in a week or so if it stays warm. The catkins are expanding fast. Last year there was pollen and bees gathering it for one day and then the wind blew about 50mph and no more pollen.
What if your code editor didn’t freak out when your program was incomplete—but instead guided you through the process?
Cyrus Omar shares how #Hazel reimagines programming from the ground up.

#OpenSource Programm I need.
1.some sort of an apple tags like variant for the open source world ( best is file manager from #elementaryos at this point but it only support tagging 8 colours no #
(Nice to look at automation like the Mac #hazel or Mac #defaultfolderx)
2.and #preview replacement ( pdf and other files reader with most of the pro features and some sort of working #ocr ( possibly a gui of #tesseract ? ) for #Linux and #android preferably (best I found was #pdfsambasic)
@disconcision #hazel looks interesting. Not heard of yet.
Hazel is a live functional-programming environment rooted in the principles of type theory.
My writeup on my new OldSchool workflow for collecting, archiving, and listening to #Podcasts in the #Apple ecosystem, while avoiding Apple's #Podcast directory / service (which is a giant advertising / tracking machine), and the Podcasts app on Mac (which is a giant pile of garbage), or any other single-app-solution.
Apps I use to make it work: @imazing, #ManyTricks #NameMangler, #NoodleSoft #Hazel, #PublicSpace #ABetterFinderAttributes, #DoughnutApp.
