The Baker Fetched by the Devil:

(After Vulpius, p. 226)

At the end of February in the year 1668, the Evil Enemy fetched a baker in Schafstädt in the Bishopric of Merseburg. When the baker did not want to leave, he grabbed the wall so tightly that he ripped out two of its stones. But he was found dead on the street later on. However, he allegedly appeared to other bakers frequently and warned them that they should make their breads bigger, and thus avoid baking their souls into the bread.

Ukko is the god of the sky, weather (especially thunder), and the harvest in Finnish paganism. Though often invoked in myths, he rarely appears. Modern sources often call Ukko the king of the gods, though that may be a mistake caused by comparing him to the Greek god Zeus.

In the Goetia, Amdusias is a mighty duke of Hell who commands 29 demonic legions. He is in charge of Hell's cacophonous music, and his presence is announced by invisible trumpets. Amdusias can produce any music he desires, cause trees to bend, and create thunder. His voice is heard during storms.

Anybody remember Shelly Duvall’s “Faerie Tale Theatre”? Star-studded weekly adaptations of classics from Brothers Grimm, Andersen, etc.? Someone should bring that back. Could be a showcase of folklore from around the world, now. I feel like as a culture we need it.
