The Shiny Diner in Cary, NC. One of the very few diners in the Central North Carolina area. My wife has told me that she would go here from time to time with her friends back when she was in high school over 20 years ago! Shot in January 2025. Bartaco in North Hills, NC. One of my favorite taco places in Raleigh, tacos are great, and love the plants hanging on the ceilings. I highly recommend getting the sweet plantains with the jalapeño garlic sauce, it's a match made in heaven. Shot in December 2024.

Probably the best cake I've ever had in my life is at a place called Maxie B's in Greensboro, NC, their cakes are always very flavorful and moist, and they rotate their selection quite often so it never gets old. I've been willing to wait in their long lines that goes out the door! However on this particular day, I went during the weekday so there was hardly anyone there. My wife first introduced me to this place in 2014 and I always make the trip there a few times a year! Shot in December 2024.
