Notice he does not address the issue of due process. Rather, he says that the US has plenty of prisons and can even build more. And if those aren’t enough, they can send people somewhere else (where of course, the US would run the prisons ;)

The #DOJ submitted its declaration to Judge Xinis. #ICE official Joe Mazzara says that if #KilmarAbregoGarcia *presented* [magically?] at a US port of entry today, #DHS would detain him, "remove him to a third country" or end the block on his #deportation & ship him back to #ElSalvador.

So that is what they’re claiming now is the reason for why they won’t facilitate bringing him back to the #UnitedStates.

I have been authorized to represent that if Abrego Garcia does present at a port of entry, he would become subject to detention by DHS. In that case, DHS would take him into custody in the United States and either remove him to a third country or terminate his withholding of removal because of his membership in MS-13, a designated foreign terrorist organization, and remove him to El Salvador.

"What we saw today at the White House should shock every American who cares about our system of checks and balances and the rule of law," said Vanessa Cárdenas, executive director of America's Voice, an immigration advocacy nonprofit, in a statement. She said the decision not to return Abrego Garcia violates the Supreme Court's ruling to bring him back.

"All of this is a reminder why immigration is the tip of the spear for Trump's larger assault on key pillars of our democracy and why what's at stake should alarm Americans of all political persuasions," she added.

Travelling to the US

Irish passengers travelling to the US are being warned to delete social media apps from their devices if they have been openly critical of President Trump online.

I would suggest that anything published that is not viruently pro MAGA is likely to be of cobncern. Much better just to not bother travelling to the US at all, you know it makes sense.
