Gibt es in Österreich (am besten Wien) irgendeinen Verein/eine Organisation, die noch was mit älteren Computern anfangen kann?

Bitte nicht "PCsFürAlle" sagen, die installieren weiterhin nur Windows, soweit ich weiß, das ist sinnlos wegen Windows 11.

Falls wer was weiß, würde ich mich über Hinweise freuen!

I swore I'd never get another Samsung TV but they I had a good deal on this monster at the Ithaca Reuse Center so now I use it as my monitor to edit photos -- I regularly preview at a size bigger than the 13x19s I print, but softness that wouldn't show up normally stands out like a sore thumb

31 years ago, Geir Ivarsøy and I started working on the Opera browser. A year later we founded Opera Software.

At Opera we wrote all our own code from scratch.

In 2011 I left Opera due to disagreement with investors about the direction Opera was heading.

Two years later, I co-founded Vivaldi to build a browser for you.

So I have been building browsers for 31 years. I think I know what it takes to build a browser.

Bigger heat sink = better cooling, right?

I needed something better than the stock Intel cooler for my 7700K which is engaged in very important work*, so I started shopping. Not much available for LGA 1151 CPUs anymore (at least not much that will fit this case/motherboard/RAM combo) but I did find whatever this monstrosity is and I just had to have it.

Time will tell if it actually helps temperatures, but it sure looks solid!

It looks like the stock Intel cooler, but on steroids. It's about 4x as tall, which makes it look almost silly. It's about the size of a can of soup!

*grmpf* Weil ich gefragt worden bin.

Microsoft hat angekündigt, dass mit dem nächsten Update von Windows 11 es bei einer Neuinstallation nicht mehr offiziell möglich sein wird, ein lokales Konto ohne Verknüpfung mit einem Online-Microsoft-Konto anzulegen.

Inoffiziell gibt es dann aber doch noch mehrere Möglichkeiten: ...
