This very soulful album opener „ Ai Thật Lòng Yêu Ai“ tells the story of a man who is deeply in love has his heart betrayed when he discovers his sweetheart is with another. Confused and crushed by despair, the man swears to himself that he will never forget the pain she caused him that day. He wishes never to see her again, in this life or the next.

@wakame Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass das Material der Brücke den Ton beeinflusst. Allerdings verwende ich die Brücken der Santur sowieso um eine #Zither zum #Hackbrett umzubauen. Dadurch ist die ganze Klangkonfiguration m.E. sowie schon "verdorben".
Lookie at what I got! It's a guitar zither, or chord zither, or, if you're a time traveler or vampire, you might know it as a guitar-mandolin. Looks to be a beginner's instrument, but it's pretty well constructed all the same. Paid $40. I do NOT know how to play it, but that's never stopped me before...

Habib Soma’i, a master of the santur once said: “The tuning of the santur made me old.” Because tuning the #instrument is difficult, especially matching the four-string-courses exactly, as dissonance is not a desired aesthetic, or switching between the various microtonal dastgah that lay at the heart of #Iranian music theory. The derived Kashmiri santoor and various modern innovations have increased the number of bridges and strings, introduced levers to facilitate easier switching between scales, and construction methods for more tonal consistency.

I am my mothers driver and personal chef, we have been visiting a friend of hers in Texas for a week, where I have been sharing a room with a curious, old stringed instrument which is unlike any I've ever seen. She calls it a zither, Her grandmother played it when she was a child, some 80 years ago.
I looked inside the body and found a label which calls it an "American Art Guitar".
Searching the internet for this term I find pictures of prettily, painted guitars. This ain't that. Does anyone out there know this wee beastie? It was gifted to me and I'd like to learn it and try to do it justice. #zither #MusicalInstrument #StringedInstrument #Antique

The zhetygen or jetigen is a plucked #zither related to the Khakas and Altai chatkhan, Tuvan chadagan, Mongolian yatg, Chinese guzehng, Korean gayageum, and Japanese koto; though all are regionally distinctive in appearance and playing style. The likely origin of the instrument is with the Turkic peoples of #CentralAsia or #Siberia during #antiquity, and the #SilkRoad facilitated its spread.
