This is a polyurethane custom idler wheel for my Thorens TD124/II turntable. There is only one supplier in the world that I know of and he's not saying where he's getting them made. He gets them in a few at a time, so if you want one, you need to pounce. I pounced. Because the point of origin popped up as "Russia post," I thought it was never going to get here. But it's made it to St. Louis so there's hope. #vinyl

A turntable idler wheel, translucent yellow polyurethane on an milled aluminum hub, is held upright by a pair of tweezers. The wheel is approximately 5-6 inches in diameter.

I've seen Hang Youth a bunch of times now. More than ten times, for sure. This one came out last year, and in terms of sound it's a different direction for the band. While the attitude that makes them Hang Youth is still there, gone are the days of 30 seconds of sloganeering and call it a song. It was one of my favourite releases of 2024. Still is.

I picked this one up and got it signed by the band during their instore release show in Concerto record store in Amsterdam.

Anyway, last one before I get ready for night shift four out of five.

I have had the day off today to receive and set up a new turntable. For a European turntable with an odd length arm it seems only European music in an odd size will do. Už Jsme Doma’s ‘Hollywood’ from 1993 on blue 10” #vinyl
