AoiObscure Game 14:<br> <br> This one is truly amazing.<br> <br> The NewZealand Story is a platformer which is originally released for the arcades. I have played the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx-16 port of it and gosh what an experience it was! <br> <br> The controls are fluid, the gameplay is simply stunning. Platforming does feel challenging but in a positive way. <br> <br> Graphics complimenting it is simply breathtaking. Such breathtaking pixel art both of the environment and our character. One cannot stop being impressed by those. <br> <br> I have always liked cute platformers and this game did not disappoint at all. I think there is something charming in controlling a cute character. Makes you feel cozy and warm. I have always been drawn to cute, more specifically kawaii, aesthetics. And this game fits to my sensibilities like a glove. <br> <br> I have strong affinity towards cute games. <br> <br> The soundtrack is nice too. It compliments the atmosphere. <br> <br> Our main character is quite cute, a small, yellow kiwi bird (which is native to New Zealand/Aotearoa) called, Tiki. He is trying to save his girlfriend, Phee Phee, from leopard seal.<br> <br> This game deserves your time and attention, and giving a chance to cute games that had been neglected by large is quite a charming experience in my opinion.<br> <br> It is all the gaming about, sharing and finding hidden gems. <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/obscuregames?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#obscuregames</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/gaming?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#gaming</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/taito?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#taito</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/japan?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#japan</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/videogames?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#videogames</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/retro?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#retro</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/retrogaming?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#retrogaming</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/retrogames?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#retrogames</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/thenewzealandstory?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#thenewzealandstory</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/arcade?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#arcade</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/platformer?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#platformer</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/turbografx16?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#turbografx16</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/pcengine?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#pcengine</a>

Thad<p>The Retro-Bit Origin8 is a perfectly decent NES-style 2.4GHz wireless controller (with TG16-style turbo switches, 4 shoulder buttons, Home, and Screenshot). Unfortunately even with the rounded corners it hasn't improved on the NES controller's ergonomics much. I know there's nostalgia associated with that shape, but the dogbone is the superior NES controller and I wish there were more clones of that design.</p><p><a href="https://retro-bit.com/origin8" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">retro-bit.com/origin8</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://brontosin.space/tags/RetroGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGaming</span></a> <a href="https://brontosin.space/tags/GameControllers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GameControllers</span></a> <a href="https://brontosin.space/tags/NES" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NES</span></a> <a href="https://brontosin.space/tags/TurboGrafx16" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TurboGrafx16</span></a> <a href="https://brontosin.space/tags/PCEngine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PCEngine</span></a></p>
