Of course the ultimate goal is constant, real-time surveillance of a population, which Ellison suggests will keep everyone "on their best behavior." How's that working out for the Uyghurs then?

“Senior tax officials are bracing for a sharp drop in revenue collected this spring, as an increasing number of individuals and businesses spurn filing their taxes or attempt to skip paying balances owed to the Internal Revenue Service,” the Washington Post reports.

How many trucks do you or I put on the road compared to how many Amazon puts on the road? They make more money from and cause more wear and tear to the infrastructure.
