I also think your presidents visit to #Trump did some good & was very important.

But different than most think. I believe that it was a distraction and he was pulling the attention from something else. In consultation with the other European Powers.

But I don't know exactly what it is.

Only that, starting with the Ukrainians in Feb., there have been some delegations coming & going to #China.

Including a visit of Putins "Joker" (#Shoigu) and France.

No, after #Duterte is in custody of the #ICC, it's not "#Putin next" or "#Netanyahu next".

They are but 2 of currently 30 defendants who are at large, and all "next".

Do you remember the news when, shortly before the full-scale invasion, #Shoigu, out of the blue, proposed “building new northern cities with the help of 4-5 million people”?

It appears that this news directly concerned the deportations of the “disloyal population” to the newly created #GULAG after the “capture of #Kyiv in two days.”
After the defeat of the invasion force, news about the "new northern cities" died down.

North Korea sent its foreign minister to #Russia for her second trip in less than a year to the major backer of Kim Jong Un’s regime. The move comes as #Pyongyang readies for a parliamentary meeting that will likely approve measures that raise tensions with South Korea.

Her visit comes after Russia last week dispatched Security Council Secretary Sergei #Shoigu to Pyongyang . It was Shoigu’s second trip to North Korea in a little more than a year.

The Russian authorities will not negotiate with #Kyiv until they “throw out” the Armed Forces of #Ukraine (AFU) from the territory of the #Kursk region, said Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei #Shoigu.

"There is a very, very significant point - this is Kursk. We have not conducted any negotiations with terrorists, we are not conducting and will not conduct" Shoigu said.

"Good words, but she misses the elephant in the room, #putin!"

The mother of #Russian conscript #Olga_Tsukanova recorded a video message calling to fight for the lives of conscripts.

The woman also demands to send mayors, governors, Duma deputies, and their sons to the #Kursk region, as well as officials of the Ministry of Defense - #Gerasimov and #Shoigu and the General Staff in full.

@hanse_mina

it's bigger.

after the demotion of #Patrushev to "presidential aid for shipbuilding", and the removal of #Shoigu from minister of defense, #Bortnikov is the second most powerful person in #russia after #putin .

now putin removes #Gerasimov, and gives him control over a section of the army in addition to the security service #FSB.

I see this as very dangerous for putin, if #Bortnikov starts to think that in the future he may be purged by putin.

#Russia has advanced this year after #Ukraine's 2023 counteroffensive failed to achieve major gains. Russia has taken 420 sq km (162 sq mi) of territory from Ukrainian forces since June 14, Sergei #Shoigu, head of Russia's #security council, has said [so may be inaccurate].
