I wonder how aware people are of the state of #ukpol. I live just outside of Cambridge, in what I would ordinarily consider to be a very liberal area, but we're getting a lot of #reformuk material for the upcoming local elections. At first I thought they were just doing bad job of targeting their campaign, but then it occurred to me that they may have concluded that they actually stand a chance here. That would be a seismic shift if so.

Two things, firstly there’s no such things as modern politics - it’s the same two horse race and political bullshit we’ve had for 150 years …. If we had a modern politics, we’d have a proper coalitions working for the common good, tax billionaires and corporations fairly and nationalise our infrastructure services. Secondly if you want a media campaign for fucks sake do not send the most boring man in Britain to do it

The numerical absurdity you have to believe to vote #ReformUK is that the 1% of trans people and the <1% of recent immigrants somehow account for a significant fraction of our problems in housing, NHS investment, wage stagnation, and general economic decline

Rather than, say, the well-evidenced causes: parasitic landlords, austerity economics, loss of trade with the EU, and wage theft.

All of it's fixable, but not with right-wing policy.

If Labour won't fix it, vote Green.
