This is a lovely old <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/door?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#door</a> from the Mosque-Cathedral or <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Mezquita?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mezquita</a> with details of <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MoorishArchitecture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MoorishArchitecture</a>. In fact, it's one of the oldest surviving gates of the former mosque! The door's decoration dates back to 855 when it was known as Bab al-Wuzara ("Viziers' Gate). Lots of Al-Andalus state officials used to enter the mosque here. The Great Mosque of Córdoba was converted into a Catholic <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/cathedral?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#cathedral</a> in the 13th century.
