They like their four flowers to point in four directions. And if a stem only carries two flowers, they like to point in different directions. Even if that means looking straight at the wall. Not this one, though. Interesting.

#Hippeastrum (amaryllis), unknown cultivar. Mislabelled from the shop but it's a pretty thing and wonderfully sculptural. It's stayed very short, which is a plus as far as I'm concerned - much less likely to tip over.
