Kurze Abwesenheiten. Sonnenschirm und Himmel über den Augen, langsam verschwimmend. Das Summen von Insekten, verschiedene Themen im verschiedenen Parzellen und Sprachen. Und dann kommen die Stimmen immer näher und winden sich in unstete Bilder und ein Tor quietscht und man wacht wieder auf, eine kurze Ewigkeit später und mit schnellem Puls in Hals und Schläfen. Wind durch die Katzenminze. Das Schrittmaß ruhiger Nachmittage.

@dazo Couldn't agree more Compensation and projection seem to be hallmark traits for #MAGATs They are a natural and expected logical development of a #USCulture of #Fantasy #Escapism and #Denial It's #USPolitics #USReligion it's a sick culture Why else would most in the US chose to travel to stand in line and pay for overpriced food and tickets to see a #FantasyMouse and #FantasyPrincess when they could travel to see #Art #History #Music #Theatre: the #Foundation of the World and #Reality

One of my favourite pictures from London's National Gallery. I confess I often hold this picture in my mind's eye as a form of escapism -- an escape from strip malls, bloated SUVs, megachurches with fundamentalist PowerPoints punctuated by bad rock and extempore prayer, cargo pants,
presidential make up, the Hobby Lobby...

The image depicts a late baroque painting with an oval frame, featuringVenus seated on a cloud, draped in a white and pink cloth. She has long, flowing hair and is surrounded by various mythological figures. To her left, a winged male figure , perhps representing Time, holds a baby, while a cherub with wings and a bow is positioned below them. In the background, two white doves fly, and other figures, including cherubs, are present, some holding flowers.
