I just think #TheEconomist is #discrediting itself by #platforming #MAGA #bullshit that even 5th graders can callout as #Kindergarten-esque #mobbing.

It's pretty much absurd to do so without seriously interrogating whether the #Trump regime actually knows the shit it does or whether this is just a #dismantling operation by #AgentKrasnov to enshure #Putin gets what he wants.

Tho in the meantime it only resulted in the #EU coming closer together and #Europe finding resolve against #Russia, with both #NATO and EU becoming stronger than before...

  • Granted the #USA already lost it's credibility in 2012 when Putin invaded #Crimea and the #BudapestMemorandum was violated #consequences-free instead of #BootsOnTheGround by the #US, #UK and #France and the current support for #Kyiv is the absolute bare minimum to avoid the political suicide that are flagged coffins returning home since in #Europe - unlike the USA - going to war isn't guaranteed to get elected, but rather will tank ratings (as it should be)!

Again: #REFORUSA is an act of self- and mutual defense at this point!

🇵🇱 #Trump risks making a “historical mistake” if his negotiations to end the war in Ukraine result in the US recognising #Russia’s claims to #Crimea and other occupied territory, says the Polish government’s adviser on #Ukraine

🇷🇺🇰🇵 #Russia has started transferring North Korean long-range artillery systems to annexed #Crimea, the German broadcaster ZDF reported Friday, in a potential indication that Pyongyang’s involvement in the war on #Ukraine could soon be expanded.

#Putin has just made another statement[^1] of his famous genre “we have never denied we were there” after denying things for years. He was speaking of the war in #Donbas in 2014 and he, of course, referred to the popular “armed coup” narrative which I have already debunked in detail[^2] but this time he kind of openly admitted that #Russia directly participated in that war:

We were not the authors and initiators of the outbreak of hostilities. They began after the coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014, which was supported by Western countries. And after that, hostilities actually began in south-eastern Ukraine. (…) This forced us to make an attempt to stop the war that was started in 2014 by armed means. We did not start it.

As I’ve already said many times there was no “coup” in 2014 in #Ukraine - opposition and president Yanukovych signed an agreement which he never planned to keep, and then he was evacuated to Russia.[^2]

The first shots were actually fired also by Russia - on 18 March 2014 Russian sniper killed Ukrainian soldier Serhiy Kokurin during Russian armed coup in #Crimea. Several Tatar and Ukrainians civilians were then killed by “unknown perpetrators” in Crimea and Donbas but then the full scale fighting was initiated by 12-13 April 2014 Russian forces group who crossed from Russia and captured town of #Slavyansk. This is when the actual war and killing started, and the Russian commander of that group Igor Girkin was frequently boasting about it in public.[^3]

Today Putin only kind of admitted that it was not any “self-defense” forces, but Russian army that actually participated in the war. Which was kind of obvious for anyone since day one, they just officially denied it.

Halyna Dovhopola turns 70, imprisoned in russia for remaining true to #Ukraine in occupied #Crimea

It is very likely that russia’s FSB came for Halyna because she had never concealed her opposition to russia’s invasion of Crimea

russia's occupation of Ukrainian territory violates international law, but it's not just about land, it's also about people.

That is why Ukraine is fighting for freedom, justice and sovereignty.
