Home from a vet visit with this special guy, who is starting a course of Zydax to keep him bouncy and zoomie thru the winter, cause it's no fun to be a limpy dog. At nearly 8 years old, we are seeing the first signs of a little bit of arthritis.

He was such a happy, good boy for the vet. All our cooperative care training has paid off so much. Proud Crazy Dog Mama is proud!

I took Skye's pack off in anticipation she would want a swim. I had no choice she was going in!

TBH, I appreciated the rest too. We stayed for a while just 'being' in this incredibly remote and beautiful place.

On Monday we were up early and walking before 7am. A long 30 km and 1100 metres of ascent to bag our first Fisherfield munro - Beinn Tarsuinn.

An incredible,12 hour day made by the views from the summit, and the personal challenge of making it happen.

Skye had a good swim in Lochan Fada on the way back. And eventually back at the van and post-dinner she just crashed out on her bed!

@dave He has been a regular visitor to care homes in The Borders and Glasgow in the last 5 years, well behaved even as a puppy.

We are regrettably spending a lot of our rime at a hospice in Edinburgh at the moment - in between running to keeps the dug’s mind off things. But he has established himself as a popular visitor, not just his other owner but a number of other patients, and being a sociable animal, is always happy to spend the time of day with anyone who will talk to him or pat him. He gets in pdq.

The dug waits in the corridor of the hospice wondering which room he is going to visit next and will there be snacks?

We have had dry weather for more than 10 days now - but on this mornings run he still managed to find an interesting set of burrows to, well, burrow into. So it is the hose fo him before he is allowed in. Not that he will learn from the experience.
