Elsevier embeds a hash in the PDF metadata that is *unique for each time a PDF is downloaded*, this is a diff between metadata from two of the same paper. Combined with access timestamps, they can uniquely identify the source of any shared PDFs.

@josias It works! User script info has to be updated to fetch updates from your repository though, and the icon is missing.
Info for all: you can install it by installing Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey in your browser and copy pasteing the script content (the js file).

Devo admitir que, como pessoa favorável à liberdade de expressão, eu estou preocupado com a crescente falta de espaço que existe para os Fascistas na Internet. As redes sociais de código aberto se põe em uma esquerda política e eliminam o espectro da direita. Isso não pode ser bom, principalmente porque a alternativa simplesmente não está aí. É a padronização do discurso, do topo da cadeia nos noticiários à base, nas redes sociais open source.
