I'm somewhat concerned of the mass of automated generated/forwarded content in the .

It's nice to have some RSS feeds being monitored, but I think we have reached a point where this is too much.

Instead of mirroring news sites we should aim to generate genuine content and/or convince the news sites to open an official Account in the .

Also I don't like all the cross-posts from Twitter. If I would like to see Twitter content, I would be on Twitter.

I fear that using and just shout out random sites won't work at scale.

You all enjoy statistics and stuff in the ?
Then maybe you know of the-federation.info/ ?

Well, Jason lately wrote this article: jasonrobinson.me/content/54636

So, if you like the-federation.info and be able to contribute with code, then please help this service stay alive!

There was recently big media coverage about people from moving from Twitter to .

Sadly the hype seems to be over and there are not as many new users over here as we have might anticipated/hoped for. Especially the still active users in the last month is quite low.

Would like to hear from those that are silent/inactive, but hard to reach them. So, if anyone has theories why they come, but don't stay, please speak up!

The same also applies to other vhosts on my server like compliance.conversations.im/se - if you register on my node at nerdica.net/ you can also use your credentials for XMPP...

Pawoo.net is one of the largest instances of Mastodon, but it is quite outdated (insecure) and recently I get many follow requests from different accounts with always the same avatar pic (probably spammers).

What do you think about Pawoo? For me it seems like a candidate to block...
